Charles Conteh is a professor at Brock University and research centre director at Niagara Community Observatory (NCO). An accomplished professional, Charles Conteh, PhD, has won five major domestic and international honours, written and delivered over 60 papers at domestic and international conferences, and made over 25 special guest presentations. He has completed five consulting projects for governments and professional agencies and appeared on news outlets like the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Globe and Mail, and The Standard.

In 2009, Charles Conteh, PhD, joined Brock University as an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science. He became an associate professor in 2012 and a professor in 2021. He supervises over 30 graduate students and teaches courses such as Canadian and Comparative Public Policy, Public Administration, and Political Economy. Charles Conteh, PhD, also provides research training to graduate students and publishes books. He has published seven books, 16 book chapters, and more than 30 peer-reviewed scholarly journals.

Since 2016, NCO director Charles Conteh, PhD, has supported research on economic, social, and governance matters that benefit communities in the Niagara region. He leads research teams in projects, mobilizes and manages external funding, and coordinates with government and private industry stakeholders to undertake comprehensive research. Charles Conteh, PhD, also partners with other academic professionals in research initiatives. He has written three commissioned policy reports and over 20 policy briefs.

Charles Conteh, PhD, earned his PhD in public policy administration at McMaster University. He is an executive member of the Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration.
